Taste Media operates a full-service creative and experiential agency, manages the social media channels TasteToronto and TasteMontreal, and runs TasteToronto.com, a leading online food and drink publication. We specialize in turning ideas into impactful campaigns and experiences that resonate deeply and forge unforgettable connections between brands and their audiences, leaving a lasting impact. Taste Media was founded in Toronto, Ontario in 2015.
What you'll be doing:
Content Creation: Develop and produce interesting, original content (photos, videos, reels, stories) tailored for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. Using Toronto’s food scene as a playground, create adventurous, dynamic pieces of content to share with our devoted audience.
Account Management: Schedule content and keep our social media profiles populated and active. Develop a content strategy that best optimizes the multiple platforms we are active on, and grow new channels to make a big splash.
Community Engagement: Actively interact with followers, respond to comments, and foster relationships with local foodies, chefs and brands. Interact with content outside of our core audience to increase brand awareness.
Trend Spotting: Stay updated on the latest social media trends and platforms. Use trending content creation tools to elevate and adapt our content strategy.
Analytics & Reporting: Monitor social media performance, analyze engagement metrics, and optimize content strategies based on insights.
Platform Adaptation: Tailor content to fit the tone of various platforms (LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, X), utilize content across multiple platforms and adapt them in other mediums.
Collaboration: Work closely with the team to plan and execute creative ideas. Assist in creative ideation for organic content creation and large-scale campaigns with clients.
Brand Representation:: Represent Taste at industry and insider events, openings and media shoots, assist with content creation during significant activations, food festivals, or pop-up events.
What We're Looking For:
• 2+ years of experience in social media management, content creation or in an agency setting.
• Proven experience managing social media platforms (especially Instagram and TikTok).
• Strong content creation skills (photography, videography, and copywriting).
• Passionate knowledge of Toronto’s food scene, local restaurants, and cultural trends.
• Experience using tools like Later, Hootsuite, or similar scheduling platforms.
• Strong knowledge of social media analytics and trends
• Experience with industry-standard design tools (Adobe Suite)
• Passionate about the internet and social media, with a keen eye on trends.
• Must live and be able to travel within Toronto.
• Ontario Driver’s License is a benefit, but not required.
• Energetic and collaborative team player.
Salary Range
➥ $45,000 - $52,500
